Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary E. Philpot Whipple will be held on Monday August 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Brundage Mt. Baptist Church, Vinson Road in McIntyre, Georgia. Dominique Whipple will officiate. Interment will be held in the Brundage Mt. Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary E. Philpot Whipple was born on March 30, 1930 in Waynesboro, Burke County, Georgia  to the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie James Philpot. She attended school in Burke County, Ga. and Brundage Mt. School in McIntyre, Ga. She graduated from Georgia Baptist College, and furthered her studies at Georgia College and State University.

Mrs. Whipple was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. &Mrs. Willie James Philpot,Sr.; her husband  Mr. Aserene Whipple; 2 brothers, Mr. Arneely Dukes and Willie James Philpot, Jr.; one grandson Damien Kyle Whipple, and a devoted sister-in-law Mrs. Helen Whipple.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Bettye W. Burney(Theodore) of Gordon, Ga.; Sharon W. Underwood(Willie B) of Milledgeville, Ga.; Deborah W. Odum(Frank) of Macon, Ga.; Natalie W. Underwood(Andrew) of McIntyre, Ga. Two sons, Alvin Whipple of McIntyre, Ga. and James Whipple(Laura) of Irwinton, Ga.; one aunt, Mrs. Arrie Flournoy Holmes of St. Petersburg, Florida, 34 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and 2 future great grandchildren, 1 sister-in-law, Lula Dukes Green of Summerville , S.C.; a devoted friend Mary Kitchens; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Whipple will be place in the sanctuary of Brundage Mt. Baptist Church one hour prior to the service hour. Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel 142 Wriley Road Irwinton has charge of arrangements.
