Funeral Services for Ms. LaTasha "Shan" Horne will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Parker Springs Baptist Church 910 Parker Springs Church Road. Pastor Eddie D. Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Council Cemetery, McIntyre.

LaTasha Shandrekia Horne, affectionately known as “Shan” was born May 28, 1987. She transitioned ​on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Piedmont Health, in Atlanta, GA. ​She was the youngest of 8 children. Shan attended and graduated from Wilkinson County High School in the Class of 2005. Shan accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Parker Springs Baptist Church. She carried many family member’s load by babysitting and doing other needed tasks for the family.She was adamant that she didn’t want anyone in her business. Her famous saying was “What it do.”Shan is preceded in death by her Father, Frankie Lee Horne; Brother, LaRodney Horne;Grandparents, Ice Horne, Zebbie & Elnora Strange; Aunts, Viola Carswell, Annie Ruth Horne,Uncles, Donald Horne, Ira Horne and Rudolph Horne.She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted Mother, Vicki Horne Thomas (Ricky);Grandparents, Christine Williams Knight (Roosevelt); Sisters, Lanndria Horne, April Horne andKami Horne; Brothers, Dedric Williams, Ice Horne and Jenson Boyd; Aunts, Regina Williams;Anita Williams; Wanda (Timothy) Bonner of Milledgeville; Yvonne (Keith) Hughes of Covington,GA; Sharon (Oscar) Basley of Jacksonville, FL; Ammerallus (James) Howell of Stockbridge, GA;Katrina (Dexter) Veal of Milledgeville, GA; Janice Horne of Irwinton, GA; Uncles, Greg Shinholster of Irwinton, GA; Kevin Liggins of Milledgeville, GA ; Anthony (Angela) Horne of Cleveland, OH; Sister-in- law, Lachelle Horne and a host of great uncles, great aunts, nieces,nephews, cousins, and friends that loved her dearly.

Family will receive friends at the home of her mother Mrs. Vickie Horne-Thomas 116 Riley Circle, McIntrye. Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel, Irwinton has charge of arrangements.
