Funeral Services for Mrs. Janel (Jannie) Lee Thomas will be held on Saturday August 06, 2016 at New Bethel Baptist Church 12700 GA Hwy 57 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Pastor Gregory D. Odum will officiate.
Jannie affectionately known as "Scoump" was born September 25, 1946 to the parentage of the late Mr. Tommy Lee Thomas, Sr. and Mrs. Cornelia Thomas.
Jannie leaves to cherish her memories one daughter: Amanda (Rodney) Shinholster; one son: Willie McCarey Thomas; two granddaughters: Christy Watkins and Crystal Thomas; three grandchildren: Brandon Allen, Monajhia Allen, Ambreya Shinholster; five great-grandchildren: Keiajhia Watkins, Kentrell Watkins, Alona Williams, Kristen HIlson, Chandler Hilson; four brothers: Tommy Lee (Mildred) Thomas, Jr., Jerry Lewis Thomas, Arlester (April) Thomas, Dennis (Lachelle) Thomas; three sisters: Ola Mae (Wilbert) Howell, Laverne (John) Williams, Joretta (Pierce) Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Mrs. Jannie Thomas will be placed in the sanctuary of New Bethel Baptist Church one hour prior to service hour.
Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel 142 Wriley Road, Irwinton has charge of arragements.
