Mr. Freddie “Sonny” Mack, Sr. was born on March 04, 1940 to the late Herschel and Louise B. Mack. He departed this life on September 10, 2015
He joined the Byrd Hill Baptist Church at an early age where he served as a faithful member on the Deacon’s Ministry for many years. Mr. Mack was a member of Montrose City Council, and he was retired from Evans Clay Kaolin Company.
He was also preceded in death by one brother: Louis Mack; two sisters: Ethel Mae Jones, and Annie Louis Cooper.
Mr. Mack leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife: Christine Brown Mack; children: Evangelist Barbara Brown of Newington, CT, Ethel Lee Mack, Cynthia Stanley, Rev. Freddie (Carla) Mack, Jr. of Forsyth, GA, Willie (Carol) Mack of Warner Robins, GA, Rev. Greg (Tomarra) Mack, and Evangelist Angela Mack; He also raised five grandchildren: Tonica Cason, Brandon (Amelia) Mack, Jabari Walker, Jaryan Mack, and Anaya Mack. siblings: Mattie-Bell (Willie) Lawson, Marilyn Smith, Larine Holmes, Marshal (Hazel) Mack, Wilbert Mack and Kline Mack; one aunt: Aunt Francis English; sister-in-laws: Ernistine (Wilma) Stuckey, Katherine Rozier, Loise (Lawrence) Harvey, Mae Ruth English, Wilene Washington; brother-in-laws: Rev. James (Shirley) Brown, Robert (Mary) Brown, Billy Brown and Marshall Brown: sixteen grandchilden; nine great grandchildren, a devoted and loving friend Steven Browning, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday September 16, 2015 from 7:00-8:00PM at Dudley Funeral Home 617 East Jackson Street, Dublin.
