Funeral Services for Mrs. Florine Knight Billue will be held on Saturday July 23, 2016 at 11:00am at Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Irwinton, Georgia. Elder Frank Billue will officiate. Interment will follow at the Red Level Cemetery in Irwinton.
At the age of seven, Mrs. Billue accepted Christ and became a devout member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. She diligently served as a member of the Usher’s Board, and she was a member of the choir. Her personal favorite song to sing in church was “Nobody But You, Lord.” Mrs. Billue was a faithful member until her health began to fail.
She graduated from Dublin High School in Laurens County in 1943 and was soon after joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Revon Billue. To this union, eight children were born.
She was a hard worker and a great role model for her family and those in the community. She always greeted everyone with a warm smile. To know her, was to love her.
On July 20, 2016, Mrs. Florine Billue was called from labor to reward.
She leaves to cherish her great memories: a devoted husband, Mr. Revon Billue of McIntyre; eight children, Barbara Strange (Richard) of Macon, GA, Frank Billue (Marilyn) of Stone Mountain, GA, Diane Cooper (Bishop Gus) of Milledgeville, GA, Bruce Billue of Irwinton, GA, Shelbra Mayes (Reverend Sydney) of Newnan, GA, Curtis Billue of Milledgeville, GA, Carol and Denise Billue of McIntyre; fourteen grandchildren including a devoted granddaughter Allegra Grimes; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Billue will be placed in the sanctuary of Calvary Hill Baptist Church one hour prior to service. Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel 142 Wriley Road, Irwinton has charge of arrangements.
