Emmie Bass

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Emmie Jean Bass will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 1:00PM. Location: St. John CME Church 504 College Street Gordon, Georgia. Pastor William Horne will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery - Gordon, Georgia.

Emmie was born April 15, 1954 to John Henry Jackson and Willie Mae Burke in Macon, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eddie Lee Bass, siblings, Jason Jackson, John Jackson and Sandy Brantley.

Emmie was employed by Central State Hospital for 23 years. She was wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Gordon, Georgia. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Sherita Jackson and Jordy (Chrissy) Jackson, siblings; Marie Solomon, Regina Ingram, Lula Whipple, Cynthia Harris, Carlee (Mary) Jackson, Cornell (Johnnie Mae) Jackson, John Henry (Minnie) Jackson, grandchildren; Rasheda Ingram, Javon Jackson, Carlton Jackson, De’asia Washington, Jada Jackson, Jaciee Jackson, Jamerial Jackson and two great-grandchildren, Ja’saiah Arnold and Ja’mari Thomas.

Public Viewing will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 11:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.

Wilkinson County Memorial Chapel -Irwinton has charge of arrangements.
